KremlinEncrypt Releases Hotfix for Windows Kremlin

St Louis, Missouri: KremlinEncrypt.Com releases the hotfix that addresses the problem with decrypting Kremlin .kgb archives using double-click via Kremlin Decrypt in Windows.

Recently KremlinEncrypt support team received a number of reports from our Windows Kremlin 3.0 users regarding the problem they observed when decrypting Kremlin archives using double-click. The symptoms of the problem were as follows: when one tried to decrypt a file using double-click, they got the following error messages: "Could not open one or more files when performing the previous option", "The file name passed on the command line was not fully qualified (i.e. c:\test.txt)". Re-installing Kremlin did not solve the problem.

Our engineers investigated this issue and figured out that it was likely to be caused by a Microsoft Windows update that affects the way Kremlin Decrypt handles double-click. Thanks to the detailed error reports from our users, the issue was solved and the hotfix that addressed it was released.

We recommend to apply the hotfix (available at http://www.kremlinencrypt.com/download.php) to all Kremlin users who installed Kremlin on Windows 2000 and XP before 12/14/07. To apply the fix, simply download and run it (by double-clicking).

The installer for Kremlin 3.0 was also updated to include the fix for this problem. Thus, all users who downloaded and installed Kremlin 3.0 for Windows after 12/14/07, do not need to apply the hotfix.
