The set-up: slot hoki

26 players in a hotel conference room.

$50 buy-in with no rebuy.

Four tables covered in Green table cloths.

A couple cases of beer

$100T in chips

50 minute levels beginning at $1/$2 with a ten minute break at each increase

Top five finishers get paid.

The room was largely full of unknowns to me. I knew Teddy “Tight” Ballgame, the Rankster, Emerald City Derrick, Greenwood Phil, Tatwood, G-Rob, and slot hoki . The other 18 players were wild cards. I sized them up one by one, judging each card-holding book by its cover.

I got set the Diamond Table with this motley crew:

Seat One: Brad A-hat (not short for asshat, by the way)

Seat Two: David the Mute

Seat Three: Danny C-Gar

Seat Four: Otis (Otis LOVES drawing this seat by the way)

Seat Five: G-Rob

Seat Six: Mr. I’m going to get creamed by BadBlood’s quads so soon that I didn’t have time to properly introduce myself.

Seat Seven: BadBlood

Seat Eight: Stevie Broomcorn

I already knew BadBlood was the table favorite. I knew G-Rob would be loose, even though I told him to play tight. I figured Brad A-Hat and David the Mute for solid players and the rest of the guys to be middle of the road to poor. My pre-game predictions had BadBloood, Brad A-Hat, and me leaving the table alive.

I was wrong.

Memorable Hand #1–

During the first level, I’d done my best to establish myself as a tight player. I’d done everything I could, including proclaiming “TIGHT!” every time I raised (times that were very few and far between). I was within seconds of breaking out the old “tight as a 16-year old cheerleader” line when I looked down and saw pocket jacks.

“Raise.”

I barely had the words out of my mouth when G-Rob announced, “Raise.”

Maybe he hadn’t heard me. See, I had said, “Raise.” By that I meant, “Get the hell out of my way, because I’m tight, see, and when I raise I have a hand that will make yours look like a kid who …

Situs slot deposit pulsa Gaining Recognition as Skill Game

“It’s all in the cards” – What a load of baloney. As any devout situs slot deposit pulsa player knows, the cards play a more minor role than most outsiders would ever believe. While the game’s practitioners and devotees have long been aware of this distinction, it seems as though the court of public opinion is finally beginning to swing our way. More than ever, individuals and entire nations are beginning to see that a winner’s edge comes not from the two pieces of paper in his or her hand, but from the quick computations and sharp observations made regarding their opponents.

Indeed, as David Sklansky, author of “The Theory of Poker” states, “expert players do not rely on luck. They are at war with luck. They use their skills to minimise luck as much as possible.”

Let’s be honest. The only reason that the United States government has shown reluctance to classify poker as a skill game is this – If poker is a game of skill, then it cannot be taxed and regulated as heavily as they want. Oddly enough, while the UIGEA legislation classifies poker as a game of chance, where the outcome is largely based on chance, it allows both horse racing and stock trading to go on unmolested.

Consider a study conducted in 2009 of more than 100,000,000 hands at PokerStars. Cigital, the company performing the test, found that 75% of the hands were decided before the players flipped over their cards. This is a strong argument that it is betting pattern and posture rather than hand strength which decides the outcome of any given match.

One of the game’s leading proponents, it happens, hails not from the felt, but from the chessboard. International grandmaster Garry Kasparov, widely recognized as the world’s best chess player, has spoken publicly about poker’s status as a skill game. Indeed, he has noted that poker may be a better teacher of risk/reward management, since players must base their decisions on incomplete information. In chess, he argues, players can see all the pieces. In poker, participants must pay …

Rejuvenating Your Face

Facial rejuvenation is the term used to encompass all forms of restoring a youthful appearance to the face. It includes the broad categories of:

Injectables (Botox® & fillers) (See our Botox site for additional uses of Botox®);

Resurfacing procedures (laser treatment, microdermabrasion & chemical peels);

Surgical rejuvenation (brow lifts, eyelid surgery; facelifts, nose jobs, face and chin augmentation, and neck lifts);

Topical tretinoin and tazarotene, which reverse sun damage and enhance collagen production. (Learn about these acne treatments at our Acne site)

The normal changes associated with facial aging are the result of both:

intrinsic (age related fat and bone loss known as atrophy, and skin laxity for example) and

extrinsic factors (like ultraviolet light / sunlight, chemicals, and smoking).

These factors contribute to biological changes associated with age and create predictable patterns of facial change. An over-simplistic analogy is mimicked by the changes in the helium balloon your child wouldn’t let you throw away. With time there is loss of internal volume (gas in this example) and as a result the covering loses its taught shape, luster, and becomes wrinkled. Moreover, there is a marked change in shape of the entire structure. Naturally, similar changes on your face can be highly distressing especially since many available treatments are being promoted. Learn more about facial rejuvenation center nashville

Physicians can treat facial aging three ways: through reduction (making the skin “fit”), augmentation (“stretching” the skin back to normal) or a combination of the two.

When it comes to choosing a rejuvenation procedure; the severity of the facial aging must be considered. Here’s a review:

Wrinkles (individual fine or deep rhytids) are managed well by Botox® or injectable fillers. Although other agents are touted to produce similar results, Botox® is currently unsurpassed in its ability to soften or eliminate wrinkles caused directly by the action of underlying muscles of facial animation.

For wrinkles that may not be contributed to directly by facial movement or for depressed scars; superficial or deep fillers (ranging from collagen, hyaluronic acid and poly-L-lactic acid to silicone particles and bone cement and even your own …

toto hk -WCOOP-2008-Event-30-Results

Event #30 of this years bumper WCOOP was one for the Omaha purists. Although there has been a healthy selection throughout the series, this was the first Omaha event that came with no added extras. Merely a simple Pot Limit tournament that was sure to separate the fish from the sharks in the Omaha ocean.

The entry fee came in at the higher end of the WCOOP’s price range, outside of the marquee events, at $1000 + $50. While that may have put some players off the promise of $500,000 added to the prize pool may have soon changed their minds; a field of 742 runners seems to suggest that it did. The players bumping the prize pool up to a total of $742,000.

Of all the Team PokerStars pros who sat down at their computers for event #30, the one who drew the most focus was former World Champion Greg Raymer. Already the proud owner of a WCOOP Omaha bracelet, from last years event #6, he was on the lookout for more silverware.     His day may have started well, but alas it was not to be. His two pair all-in against an opponents set meant that he was eliminated in 118th place – a meagre 10 spots from the money.

Joining him at the virtual felt were a host of other Team toto hk members including:  Barry Greenstein, Vanessa Rousso Steve Paul-Ambrose, Andre Akkari, Vicky Coren, Isabelle Mercier and Marcin Horecki. Of this troupe four would break the money bubble (Akkari, Paul-Ambrose, Horecki and Mercier), with Isabelle the highest professional finisher. Mercier, who has 6 WSOP cashes to her name as well as a victory in the 2004 WPT Ladies’ Night tournament, ended her night in 42nd place.

The dubious honor of being the final table bubble went to GRinDer444, who got his last few chips in the middle against the already pot committed salamandra24. GRinDer444 looked to be on top when the flop came, his pocket 5′s finding a match on the flop to give him a set, ahead of salamandra24′s J-T two pair. However the turn would …

Jack Binion reportedly considering major Full Tilt investment

With an estimated $60 million deficit, Full Tilt Poker has been in desperate need of liquidity since Black Friday on April 15. The company has been actively pursuing potential investors and bank loans, all to no avail. Enter Jack Binion, who reportedly is considering making a major stake in Full Tilt.

Binion is one the most powerful players in the casino industry. He became President of Binion’s Horseshoe Casino and Hotel in 1963, when he was only 26 years old. As a member of both the American Gaming Hall of Fame and Poker Hall of Fame, and heir to the wealth of casino entrepreneur and mobster Benny Binion, Jack Binion is in a unique position. In a single investment, Binion could save Full Tilt and take significant ownership of its operations. Binion would assume a great deal of risk in any deal. A $60 million deficit is a difficult proposition in any business, but reports and rumors have been circling for days that this is a risk Binion is seriously considering.

According to multiple reports, both Jack Binion and Phil Ivey have been in Ireland recently to meet with Full Tilt executives. If Full Tilt secures a major investor like Binion, players could expect their money to be returned. Players will be forced to wait on cash outs until Full Tilt is able to secure a surge in liquidity. If that were to be provided by an American powerhouse figure like Binion, the possibility of Full Tilt’s return to the USA may be quickened. Full Tilt has announced that it has “pending deals with several parties that would put money back in players’ pockets.”

Black Friday is now officially over a month and half over with. Most U.S. players seem to have figured out a new site or travel arrangements to allow themselves to play at their old sites. Non-U.S. players are obviously having an easier time figuring out where they want to play, usually based on which site is now carrying the most traffic. PokerStars was relatively quick in giving their players (U.S. included) their money by withdrawals …

Full Tilt keluar sgp Poker Updates Their Progress on Cashouts

Full Tilt keluar sgp Poker Room Management had promised that they would update their US-Based customers on the current status of their cashouts and when they could expect to see their player funds returned.  This past Sunday, as promised, they released an update that answered several important questions for players.  Here is a copy of their Press Release:

“Since April 15th and the days immediately following, Full Tilt Poker faced numerous challenges and hurdles to ensuring the smooth operation of its international business and the orderly return of US player funds. FTP has worked tirelessly to address these issues and has made significant progress on both fronts.

FTP’s international business operations are returning to normal while we focus on ensuring the safe and orderly return of US player deposits. We are absolutely committed to making sure that US players are refunded as soon as possible. We apologize for the delay and the fact that we underestimated the time it would take to work through these issues. We will update our US players when we have more specific information to provide.”

It is important to note that in its original form, this update was accompanied by some questions and answers from FTP Management, and there it was revealed that all promos have been paid out, such as Take 2 and FTOPS Satellite Challenge. T$ and Ticket conversion is underway and will continue into next week. Pending rake back payments will also continue into next week. Iron Man Medals have also been distributed for play in the month of April.

What is not addressed here, frankly, is when US-based players can expect to see their money back in their hands.  The last sentence of the Press Release actually acknowledges that the information in the release does lack some specificity, and although we are starting to get a little bit more of the story, it is still impossible to know with certainty when cashouts will begin and players will be reunited with their money once again.

We can also say with confidence that the issues surrounding reimbursement …

togel hongkong hari ini Tournaments at English Harbour

Tournaments for slots or online poker are a dime a dozen. They’re all over the place and if you visit any online casino you will find them. If you look for gambling news online, you will find countless mentions of slot tournaments and poker tournaments. They saturate the market like Lady Gaga or Obama. togel hongkong hari ini tournaments, however, are a little more difficult to find. At times, it requires sleuth-like skills that would make Sherlock Holmes (either the one from the book or the much different character in the recent movie) proud. Luckily, I found some good blackjack tournaments at English Harbour Casino.

Every week, there are two different blackjack tournaments going on at English Harbour, with one taking place during the week and the other being held on the weekends. Both tournaments are played on the game called Blackjack Vegas Strip…In case, you’re wondering, it’s not “strip” as in “remove clothing.” Just thought I’d let you know.

From Monday through Thursday, English Harbour Casino holds the Head2Head online blackjack tournament. In this tournament, you play for the pot, which means there is more money at stake the more people join the tournament and play. The entry fee is only $5 and there are unlimited rebuys. The prize money is split among the top 20 players in the tournament.

The Weekend Blackjack Classic, which is played Friday through Sunday, is where the big money is found. Here you are playing for a prize pool of $5,000. Again, the prizes are awarded to the top 20 players in the tournament. The top winner earns a very respectable $2500. The Weekend Blackjack Classic tournament has an entry fee of $10 and has unlimited rebuys.

It should be noted, for those new to blackjack tournaments, that your strategy should be a little different in tournament play. The reason for that is when playing a normal game of blackjack, whether it’s online or at a brick and mortar casino, the other players don’t matter. You only care about your cards in relation to the dealer’s cards. With online …

Review of The Man With the $100,000 Breasts

Michael Konik has written numerous articles about the colorful characters and events that have shaped Las Vegas and other gambling scenes. Early in 1999, Huntington Press published a collection of his work titled, The Man With the $100,000 Breasts. Late that year it was reprinted as a paperback with the same name by Broadway Books.

The book contains a total of 26 stories broken up into six sections. The sectional division isn’t really very important, it’s merely there to break up the book a bit. Many of these stories originally appeared in other magazines such as Sport, Maxim, and Cigar Aficionado. They’re all expertly written and provide some interesting insight into their own special world. Some are better than others, but I didn’t feel there were any true duds.

Some of the stories, like those about poker legend Johnny Slot Gacor Moss, the meteoric rise and fall of craps legend Archie Karas, and the history of race handicapping legend Andrew Beyer are fairly well known, often even outside of gambling circles. Others, like the stories of the “Cold-Deck Crew” or SCA Promotions are likely not nearly as widely known. There is something here for just about anyone with a sports, gambling, or Las Vegas interest.

I’ve read a lot of books that are collections of gambling stories, and The Man With the $100,000 Breasts is one of the better ones. While I wouldn’t rate it quite as highly as, say, Alvarez’ The Biggest Game in Town, it does score well above the median. It’s well worth reading by those with an interest in the topic, but I recommend purchasing the paperback version.

Capsule:

Yet another collection of gambling stories, The Man With the $100,000 Breasts ranks above average in this category.

Review of Serious Poker

At the time I write this, Dan Kimberg is probably my biggest competitor for the title of “Most Influential Gambling Book Reviewer on the Internet”. Kimberg’s web site, at http://www.kimberg.com/poker/, contains a large collection of poker book reviews written by many people, including the author of Serious Poker. One can assume from this that Kimberg …

Tips to Make Painting Easier

While you’re at that beginner level, there are tons of fun to be had. You can lose yourself in painting for hours on end. I know there has been a time where I have personally snapped out of my painting daze hours later to realize I had missed lunch and should probably get something to eat. I was having so much fun with it that I didn’t realize how much time had passed.

This is a pretty easy hobby to get into, and even mastering it doesn’t take too long. However, I have a few tips that will help you ease into things and make painting simpler for you.

Choose a small canvas to start with. I think a 30cm x 30cm canvas is perfect for someone starting out.

Only take out one or two colors at a time in your tray. This makes things simpler for you and makes it less likely that you will get confused.

If you have trouble getting your diamonds to stay in place properly, you can place them in a zig-zag pattern.

Keep the canvas flat. A new canvas may curl and want to roll, but you can flatten it out by sticking some books on the corners while you work or covering the whole canvas with books before you start painting.

Use plenty of light. I like to work with a personal lamp when I am painting. This helps me see the difference between similar colors without straining my eyes.

Take breaks every so often. I find that if I bend over my painting for hours at a time, I end up with cramps and aches and my eyes feel tired. Every so often, I just take a little break, walk around, and refocus my eyes. Then, I can keep going at it for a long time.
